some days you have to make your own sunshine

I should probably cross out the some in the title and replace it with ALL. This winter in Michigan has been brutal. We’ve had 4 snow/cold days and I’ve pretty much lived in snow boots & my parka. (AND ITS STILL JANUARY). All my adorable shoes are crying because they’ve been abandoned, but when walking to your car involves a foot of snow, you’ve gotta go with the boots.

Since I am so sick of winter I have started bringing my summer clothes out, woohoo! This top was last worn here. I wore this outfit to a party last weekend & received a ton of compliments on it! About 1/2 of the party was in flannel shirts (guys & girls) so my floral totally stood out.

Lastly, this yellow coat. I ordered it from Old Navy last year & the color was labeled “Big Yellow Bus.” Please, someone tell me who wants to look like a big yellow bus. (other than me). It’s a great coat & brightens up your day completely. Now is great time to find coats on super sale! Go out & get a brightly colored one, I’m sure you’ll get tons of compliments.

Sidenote: this J.Crew Cardi is the bomb.com (I’ve replaced the exact one multiple times)
