the pros & cons of Valentine’s day

Unless you live under a rock you are probably aware that today is Valentine’s Day. woohoo. And as much as we girls like to say it doesn’t matter…it does (at least a little bit). Whether you’re single/taken/married/engaged/not quite sure. But instead of getting lovey dovey on here I figured I would share my personal pros & cons of Valentine’s Day.

Sidenote: Remember when I said I would wear a dress as a top? Here you go! Also – I was trying to channel Jennifer Lawrence with the backwards necklace here, but unfortunately mine isn’t diamonds!

PROS:

•  CHOCOLATE (because its chocolate)
•  FLOWERS (they brighten up a mid February day for sure)
•  LOVE (for everyone – family, friends, coworkers! share the love)

CONS:

• CHOCOLATE (because I really don’t need the extra calories)
• EXPENSIVE GIFTS  (love isn’t all about gifts)
• OVER COMMERCIALIZED (its just the 14th of February, same as the 13th or 15th, you should love people all the time!)
