The itms I generally splurge on are leather bags, or some really great staple piece for my closet. Although it is usually the leather bags; I can’t even buy synthetic bags anymore. Price is definitely a deterrent for me when I find something I like and often times I am able to find a similar item for an affordable price. Then I spotted this jacket from Line & Dot on Kendi, a blogger and boutique owner. I was immediately drawn to it, but after seeing the price I knew I shouldn’t buy it. Except then I could NOT stop thinking about this jacket. (I also scoured the internet trying to find some similar jacket for a lower price..no luck). I kept mentally making outfits/ thinking of places to wear it/ envisioning myself in it. I looked at online everyday for about 2 weeks! Bloom, Kendi’s boutique, actually sold out of it during this process (and I was devastated of course). Then on Instagram they notified followers that they would be doing pre-order… And I bought it. I couldn’t say no! And its honestly even more gorgeous in person. To combat the high price tag (for me at least) I have been selling clothes, and so far I’ve made $40. (Only $140 to go til I’ve made my money back!)
I knew I made the right decision when my friend Lizzie told me “If you were a jacket thats what you would look like.”
Tell me – what do you splurge on? And do you think my jacket was worth it?

Totally obsessed with the jacket, it looks gorgeous on you!
This is amazing! Heck if it makes you happy sometimes you gotta splurge! I’m not a big splurger myself- but sometimes I should because the bargain things are never as good quality or last as long- so in the long run I feel like you almost spend the same $
I totally agree- some things are worth the splurge. I plan on wearing this jacket until it falls apart!
