Disclaimer– My sister Shannon actually showed me this trick! I knew that if I didn’t give her credit I would get a not so pretty text from her for stealing her idea! So thank you Shannon.
Do you ever want to wear a necklace but its too short to go with the top you’re wearing?
Never fear – I’ve got the cheapest & easiest solution to fix that. And all the supplies you need will probably be in your junk drawer.
Before:
After:
Step 1: Find a safety pin and a rubberband
Step 2: Hook safety pin & rubber band together
Step 3: Attach rubber band end to clasp of necklace
Step 4: Hook safety pin onto non-clasp end of necklace
Step 5: Put necklace on & either tuck under your collar (or wear your hair down) to hide the extender.
While this doesn’t work for every single situation, it sure does come in handy sometimes! Hopefully you all find this useful!
Let me know if it works for you!

GENIUS!!!! I am so totally doing this! xoxo Danielle @ For the Love of Leopard
i actually used a variation on this earlier this week! the necklace didn’t have a fully-closed hook to close around the rubber band, so i looped it through one side and then attached it through the open hook on the other. ugh, that didn’t make sense, but basically you’re brilliant and this is real.
