Style Series day 3 [[what do you love about your style?]]

One thing I love about my style is that it always changes. For the past two days I remixed this jacket with girly summer looks, but now I’m back with the ultimate laid back style: slip on sneakers, camo jeans & a white tee. Pretty basic. I posted this look on Instagram about 2 weeks ago, when I threw it together last minute for work at the Gap. I love clothing, I really do, but what I love more is how much it can affect you. When I’m fully dressed for an event, I feel prettier and stand up straighter. If I’m running late for something and don’t have time for hair & makeup, I always make sure I’m at least (semi) well dressed, so part of me looks put together. Generally my rule is as follows:

*When going out in public/work/school/events (not including late night grocery shopping), I do my best to have 2/3 of my look complete

1 = hair (this is the one I always slack on, especially in the summer – top knot anyone?)

2 = makeup

3 = outfit (not athletic shorts & a tee)

If you have 2/3 of these going happening then you are good to go!

I find its just as easy to throw on a sundress as it is to wear athletic shorts, and while I tend to be overdressed, I would much rather look too good!
