It started out as just your average Monday. Woke up, worked out, went to work, and then headed to run errands after work. Post grocery store & bank I headed over to Rock Paper Scissors, a local consignment shop, to pick up my check for my recent sales. Generally I’m never tempted by anything in there (sorry guys!) so I didn’t think I would see anything noteworthy. And then, low and behold, I spotted this little beauty. I couldn’t believe it at first. A real Louis Vuitton for under $60? No way. But yes, there it was. Of course I picked it up and carried it around the store with me while excitedly calling my friends & sisters for a second opinion. I called my best Alie, (no answer) called my friend Allison, (no answer) called my mom (no answer), called Shannon (no answer) and finally called my sister Gretchen — who answered. She said she had to call me back but I made her wait so I could ask if I should buy it. Her response “of course!”
I’m not generally a huge label fan, but the LV monogram is so classic & in such a small size I find it very manageable. I’m still amazed I found it!
As I said on Instagram, I don’t thrift very often, because I often end up buying clothes I wear once or never again. But, I have had good luck in the purse category. Back in 2009 I snagged a vintage Dooney & Bourke in Phoenix for $20.
Tell me, whats the best thrifting find you’ve ever had?

PS. I threw this navy gingham & purple combo together on a whim & really love how it turned out. What do you think?

that’s AMAZING! pretty much every thrift store in austin carries vintage D&B purses, but i’ve yet to snag one up. one of these days! my best thrifting moment, by far, is the Dolce & Gabbana skirt i found earlier this summer for $33. you just can’t beat that!
your eyes are so bright in these photos!!
