One of my favorite fall/winter items to wear is faux fur. Vests, coats, fur lined hoods & boots. I love it! (but it has to be faux! I could never wear a cute little bunny inside my hat). If you followed along with the blog last winter you saw one of my favorite faux fur pieces – this Tulle coat. Not only do I look like Cruella de Vil/an Olsen twin (hahaha), it is also toasty warm. My favorite part about wearing this jacket is the stares from other people. Yes, I know it is western Michigan (uber-conservative) and yes I understand that you think a North Face jacket & Ugg boots count as style, but please, stop staring at me. Or continue staring; I’ll just smile at you. 🙂
 I may be premature but I’ve already begun scoping out faux fur jackets (just in case I need another one) and here are a few of my favorites so far (all under $100 of course) :

This Billabong one is very similar to mine…except I’m not quite sure why the model looks so awkward. I promise I don’t (usually) look like that in my coat..

Don’t worry, I live in the Midwest and I get plenty of odd looks when I bust out the faux fur jackets and vests come winter (I have several). I’m with you though, a north face jacket and uggs is not really a style and the faux fur makes winter a little more bearable. If you really want to make them stare, wear your cute fur over a little sequin tee with some denim skinnies and heels. 😉 #beentheredonethat

It’s definitely never too soon to be talking about faux fur! It looks like its making a big comeback for the fall season and I can’t wait! Great blog btw just discovered 🙂

I love faux fur. I purchased a beautiful faux fur vest last year by Jou Jou and my husband had a look of horror when I showed it to him. I stupidly returned it, I still think about that vest at least once a week. I can’t believe I took style advice from a guy who wears b ball shorts and sneakers 10 monthes out of the year everywhere he goes besides work and funerals. I’m a colossal moron. I’m on the lookout for great faux fur in fabric stores now because my mom said she could sew one in about an hour or so. She said they are super easy to make. Wish me luck.
