If any of you are super last minute Christmas shoppers, or just don’t know what to get for all the lovely ladies in your life, then I have the solution for you. These hand painted wine glasses are super fun + a great gift for all ages [over 21 that is :)].
Supplies:
Q-tips
Wine Glasses (I used stemless ones from Target)
Acrylic Paints
Oven
These are seriously SO easy to make. That’s why I was successful…no Pinterest-fail over here.
First, pick out the colors you want to use (generally 3 or 4)
I chose to flip my glass upside down to paint to make it easier + so I wouldn’t ruin it.
Decide how much of the glass you want to cover and then choose whichever color you want to start with.
Squeeze a little bit of paint onto the plate, and use your q-tip to cover the glass in polka dots.
Follow up with the second, third and fourth color, filling in dots wherever you feel is necessary. (I kept a little bit of clear space on mine, but only because I was running out of q-tip patience)
Once you’ve finished painting turn the oven to 350 degrees and bake the glasses for 30 min. After 30 min turn the oven off but leave the glasses in there to cool for another full hour.
Then, voila! You have super adorable wine glasses for all your girls!
*** I’m about 99% certain that these are NOT dishwasher safe, although I haven’t actually tried…I wouldn’t recommend it.
So far I’ve made 4 of these and I’ve got about 10 more to go. I have a feeling a few will be late Christmas gifts haha
Have a great day!
