Spoiler Alert: I’m not wearing sequins for NYE 2014

 I figured I would make a collage to show off my NYE look because

1.) I’m unprepared + don’t have photos taken

2.) the chances of me getting cute photos tonight (when it’s supposed to be 20 degrees) are slim to none.

After seeing 367,675,890 blog posts of sequined New Year’s Eve outfits I decided to take a different route. Don’t get me wrong, I love sequins, but since I wear them on random Tuesdays they just don’t have the same appeal to me. I’d been eyeing this skirt at the Limited for about a month, but knew it would eventually go on sale, so I waited patiently + now paid only 31% of the original price.

Speaking of sale, I’m going to pat myself on the back because this whole outfit cost less than $100! (Excluding the watch + the bangle, a wonderful gift from my BFF) Cue victory dance. I’ll break it down for you price-wise:

Embellished Mini Skirt: originally $79.95, paid $25.00

Black Simple Tee: $9.95

Black Banded Heels: $39.95

Statement Necklace: Originally $54.95, paid $13.75

Box Clutch: Originally $19.99, paid $3.98

Total = $92.68 + tax (of course)

The best part about this outfit? ALL of these pieces can be remixed + rematched throughout the year.

I also found the most adorable hairstyle on Lauren Conrad for tonight. I’ll be attempting it. And by attempting it I mean having someone do my hair. Because hair is just not my thing.

If it looks good, I’ll take pictures. And if it looks bad, I’ll probably still take pictures. You lucky devils get pictures no matter what.
