the camels are back! (yes, I said camels)

When I was in DC in 2012, my friend and I had to make a stop at the Kate Spade store (naturally). We were in DC for a conference called Model Arab League, which is very similar to university Model UN programs. The main difference lies in the nations represented; the Arab League instead of the UN. I was involved in this program for 3 years at Grand Valley, and the Middle East still captivates me today. While we were at Kate Spade I came across a camel phone case and thought it was adorable. It was perfect timing because one girl had been referencing camels all day at the conference. (I will never understand what her goal with the camel references was). I somehow managed to walk away from the phone case that day, but upon arrival back to Grand Rapids I promptly ordered it online.

I used the case for 2 years with my iPhone 4, but as soon as it died, I began searching for camel phone cases for my iPhone 5. I’ve spent about 1.5 years looking (on and off) for a cute camel phone case, and had pretty much given up…hence the toucan case. But, my sister surprised me with this camel case as part of my Christmas gift! How cute is it?

The other morning at breakfast the guys decided that maybe the camel is my spirit animal…what do you think? Do you have a spirit animal?
