“New Year. New You.” Sound familiar?
So many people make resolutions about health (myself included) and while some maintain those resolutions, other fall off the bandwagon in February. One problem I notice is that people view a diet or exercise program as a something with an expiration date. They want to lose X amount of pounds by this date, or give up junk food for 60 days, etc. What really should be happening, in order to maintain your health, is a complete lifestyle change. For me, eating healthy isn’t considered a “diet” because its what I eat; going to the gym isn’t happening because I’m in a wedding next month, its because thats what I do. The amount of benefits from physical activity are astounding. Physical activity can:
-relieve stress
-reduce cravings
-improve mood
-lower risk of diseases
-increase energy
-control weight
-promote better sleep
-have a positive effect on your sex life
-improve self-confidence
-alleviate anxiety
-sharpen memory
-prevent cognitive decline
-boost creativity
I’ve reached the point in my health where I KNOW that a workout will make me feel better, where I KNOW that eating that pizza will certainly make my stomach hurt, where I KNOW that I would rather drink less at the bar then skip my workout the next day. I believe that many people don’t understand how good they could feel if they took better care of themselves. I’m here today to challenge you to improve your lifestyle! (I know I am going to) Why not feel amazing every single day? I’ve linked some of my personal favorite workout gear for swimming laps, spinning, running, lifting, yoga and everything in between. These sports bras are my new favorite and totally worth the price. I’ve also been living in the running tights from Old Navy (I even slept in them Friday night!)
Have a great Monday!

UGH I am really bad at making the right choices when it comes to deciding whether to workout or go to the bar. I’m trying to get better at this because you never feel BAD about doing a workout!

Something About That
That’s so true! You never feel bad about a workout
I cling to the saying “People who exercise live longer, but those extra years are spent at the gym.” and never work out.
