Update your winter wardrobe (without spending a dime!)

If you’re anything like me you have (at least) a handful of summer dresses you love to wear, but have to pack away during the frigid winter months. Gone are the days of neons and florals, and blacks and grays begin to take over my wardrobe. When we had our “heat wave” of almost 40 degrees this past weekend, I decided to take advantage of it and bring out some summer favorites and style them in a winter appropriate way. Just because its January doesn’t mean you can’t wear bright pink. I’m planning on wearing this to work on Thursday or Friday, but I will definitely be adding black tights!

If you’re feeling like you’re uninspired and in a clothing rut, I challenge you to “winterize” one of your favorite summer dresses this week. Throw on a jacket or blazer, layer up with tights or over the knee socks and grab a fun purse. Hopefully the bright colors can help brighten everyone’s mood! What do you think? Did I pull it off?
