Stripes in SoCal

Souther California is pretty darn great. I could definitely see myself living there one day, except I would be so broke from just trying to pay my rent. One thing that I noticed while on the West Coast was how early the sun sets. In Grand Rapids our sunsets are around 9:15pm right now, but while in Cali the sun sets around 7:45/8:00. I guess I just assumed it would be bright just as late out there, so some of my blog pics we snapped just as the sun was setting.

One of the evenings Alie and I decided to walk across the street to the huge outdoor shopping mall (SO DANGEROUS), which is where I ended up getting my Mini Mac (see it here). This outfit was easy to shop in and perfectly appropriate for the weather (it was a bit chilly). I actually broke a personal promise when I bought this dress, mainly because it is from Charlotte Russe. Long story short – about 5 years ago I vowed never to shop there again when an adorable green dress ripped on me 20 min before I was supposed to leave for a wedding. But then I saw this dress in the window and couldn’t say no…whoops!

Anyways, I’m finally feeling almost back to normal after all the vacationing. (And I’m almost caught up on life.)
