A Pop of Color and Sweetness with Scented Signet Rings

This fall, everyone is looking for a way to add a personal, fun touch to their neutral-colored outfits. After all, it’s not just the weather that can look a little bleak and dreary – outfits often carry the colors of the season as well, and you might find yourself with very little more than browns and grays. Oftentimes, we find a way to create a more textured, colorful look by turning to our accessories, wearing scarves, bangles, and earrings that add the color we desperately need, and this season, a new range of rings from esteemed designer David Yurman does the job of not just adding color to boring outfits, but even adding a sweet, subtle scent.

As fashion aggregator Lyst has said, rings these days come in every shape and form, from “exquisite Bvlgari rings, statement Gucci rings or ultra-feminine collection of Swarovski rings” to “skulls, safety-pin motifs and caged designs.” Yurman’s range of rings are classified as signets – pinky rings that would be quite simple and unassuming, if they weren’t made in such vibrant pastel colors.

Called “Bubblegum Pinky Rings”, there are five colored signets in the collection, each with a distinct scent. There’s a light blue ring that carries the scent of cotton candy, a white ring that smells like peppermint, a pink ring that has the scent of bubblegum, a black ring that smells like licorice, and a purple ring that smells like grape. Daisy Shaw of Vanity Fair says that these rings, “are sure to be a hit among the college set, but they’re also a fun addition for the more sophisticated woman” and we can see why.

The black licorice ring and white peppermint ring would undoubtedly be something easy to wear, but the pastel-colored rings should also prove to be hits this season, as the color trend report featured on Harper’s Bazaar carries these colors as well. From light blues to pastel pinks, and even some deep, mysterious purples, these trends show that, if anything else, David Yurman’s Bubblegum Pinky Rings should be a popular choice.
