When I was in Ohio visiting my family over Easter weekend I wore this outfit out to dinner & drinks with my cousins. As I walked downstairs that night my dad looked at me, paused, and said “Is your shirt supposed to look like that?” Granted, I am wearing a high low mock neck sleeveless turtleneck…so I understand his concern. But yes Dad, my shirt is supposed to look like this. This turtleneck was one of those “I like that on the hanger, it’s 50% off and I’m sure it will fit” purchases from Aerie, and definitely a good snag on my part.
Since I have broad shoulders, it is too much fabric to layer a long sleeve or sweater under a jacket/blazer. I am much more comfortable in sleeveless items… so this turtleneck fit the bill. I’ve managed to pair it with my leather jacket about 5 times since I purchased it in late February, so it seemed right to show you all this combo.
PS. These lace up flats are $38 at ASOS and I always receive compliments when I wear them! Lace up flats are my go-to when I want to feel stylish but don’t want to deal with heels. (Size reference: I am normally a US 7 and I ordered a US 6).
Thanks for following! Tell me, what are your thoughts on lace up flats?
