If you know me, you know I am the furthest thing from a beauty queen. I love having a great outfit on, but could care less whether I’m wearing makeup or not. I do try to put it on (most days) to pull myself together, but I prefer to not worry about it. I always have the best intentions to learn how to do makeup, but truly I barely know how to used my Naked Palette.
With that being said – I wanted to share 5 “beauty” products that anyone can use (no matter whether you’re high or low maintenance!) I love and use all these products on a weekly, if not daily basis. The best part…all but one are under $10!
BOOM. Follow along below for a description of each & where to purchase.
1.) Band Aid Friction Block Stick
If you’ve ever gotten blisters from breaking in new shoes then listen up. This is essentially a glue stick for your heel; you take the top off and rub the Band Aid stick on the spots you know your shoes will rub. (Heels, tops of toes, sides of feet, etc). It protects way better than a regular band aid, doesn’t bunch up and fall off, and is completely clear on your skin. Available online here – or at your local Target (cheaper at Target!)
$4.89 – you can thank me later!
2.) Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing GEL
Very important here as the GEL is significantly better than the LOTION (in my opinion). Make sure to read the bottle when purchasing. It’s lightweight and never makes my skin feel greasy/oily. My mom got me hooked on this moisturizer years ago, and I have since gotten multiple people hooked. The 4.2 ounce pump bottle (below) costs $26 but lasts me an entire year! (even with my friends sometimes using it).
You can purchase online through Clinique & sign up for their emails for 15%, or you can go to makeup counters in most major department stores to find it.
You can purchase peppermint oil anywhere, but I snagged mine at GNC when I was picking up my Vitamin E ointment (see below). I mainly use this when I have headaches – simply put a drop on your finger and rub on each temple. The peppermint will burn your eyes a little, but it often helps lessen my headache. Peppermint Oil is my go-to before I turn to Advil. You can also put a drop under your nostrils to help when you’re stuffy.
Purchase in store at GNC/ any grocery store – or online.
My dental hygienist actually introduced me to Vitamin E ointment – she said its great to use as chapstick. As someone who always has chapped lips in the winter, this has been awesome. You can also put it on cuts & other areas that need to heal. $1.99 at GNC – what a steal!
5.) Moisturizing Honey Mango Shave Cream
This shaving cream from Trader Joe’s is AMAZING. Not only does it smell great, it also moisturizes your legs while you shave. I still put lotion on after, but you don’t really need to. This is a lifesaver in the freezing winter. A little drop goes a long way as well, so this bottle lasts a while.
There you have it – my 5 favorite “beauty” products…cause I have no idea how to do makeup.
Do any of you already use these?
If not – I would definitely recommend giving one or more a shot.

Love using peppermint for my headaches. Never knocks out my migraines, but for a “regular” headache? It actually really helps! Definitely going to pick up that Band Aid stick!!
yes for sure! And you definitely want the Band Aid stick!
