Happy Tuesday my friends!
After a whirlwind 18 days, I’m back in California. I spent the last 2+ weeks in Ohio & Michigan, partly for work and partly for play. Unfortunately, my luggage did not make it back with me last night, so I will be getting that after work today.
As much as I would’ve loved to stay in Michigan with my friends & family, I am so ready to get back to my routine in Cali. (And back to getting enough sleep!) My workout and food mentality has been “do the best you can” for the past few weeks, and I’m not feeling so hot. Back in the gym & counting my macros starts again today 🙂
Anyway, as I’ve mentioned numerous times before, when you purchase a new item for your closet, you always want to be able to envision it with 2-3 items you already own. It’s bad for your bank account and the environment if you’re constantly purchasing and throwing away clothing items, so I make a conscious effort to mix & match.
You saw this top with the matching culottes a few weeks ago (here), but its just as easy to throw it on with a cute pair of shorts. You all know how I feel about pattern mixing, so I opted for my navy striped shorts, but it could work well with plain navy shorts, or even a pair of denim shorts!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

PS. Kate Spade is having an extra 30% off sale items with the code SUNSHINE – most of the purses I linked below qualify for that 🙂

I have to admit, I’m not a fan of culottes. They just don’t work for me. But that top that is part of the set, along with the fit and pattern of it, is so cute!! And those shorts are great! This is pattern mixing that I could do!

thank you Shanna! Yes, the top is super versatile (and lightweight) so its great for summer. The culottes are definitely weird haha
Love the floral and stripe combo.
