Why you want to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
I wasn’t going to do this.
And by this I mean dedicate an entire blog post to the massive anniversary sale Nordstrom has every year. But then I realized that it might be worthwhile for some of you to check it out, especially if you’re an organized person that creates clothing wish lists for the upcoming season (please don’t tell me I’m the only one). The early access of the sale started July 14, and since I’m a Nordstrom debit card holder, I was able to snag a few items early.
But, the sale opened to the public on Friday last week, and the sale prices are valid until August 7! (BOOM).
What is the sale?
A genius idea really. For a few weeks, Nordstrom discounts select brand new fall items. And while it is difficult to even think about fall when its 95 degrees outside, I love the idea of paying a sale price without having to wait until the end of the season. That way you can get the most wear out of the items!
I’ll be sharing with you a few of the items I purchased (and which ones I’m actually keeping) as well as some of the other great deals available to you.
What I purchased:
BLANKNYC Suede Moto Jacket in Burgundy (it keeps selling out, sorry guys!) // Boyfriend Jeans // Faux Leather Vest // Burgundy Sleeveless Turtleneck // Ivanka Trump booties
What I’m actually keeping:
booties are a win (I’ve been on the hunt for gray boots since last October)
the jeans are a maybe – super comfy but can’t decide if they are flattering // if I even care if they are flattering
the vest is a no-go – a bit thick & bulky and the cut was awkward on me
I’m still waiting to receive the turtleneck and jacket in the mail so I’ll report back. (Everything I’ve heard about the jacket though has been top-notch)
Boots: (is it weird I kind of want those flashy gold disco boots?)
Jackets: (now is the time to snag a faux leather jacket – you won’t regret it!)
Purses: (crossbody bags for the win!)
Jeans: (stock up for the fall…some are $100 off original price!)
so there we have it – I gave in like every other blogger & shared my Nordstrom sale picks. I’ll accept defeat gracefully.
I’m super excited because today is my last day in the office until Tuesday (working from home Thursday & off Friday & Monday. WIN!)

I have that jacket in the taupe that I snagged during the anniversary sale and I love it. I think you’ll be really impressed by the quality (especially for the anniversary price). It looks much more expensive than what it is. I like it so much, I keep watching for the burgundy to pop back in my size. 😉
I’m so excited for it to come in. I did order multiple sizes – do you know what size you’re looking for? (cause I will have two – hopefully one fits). I really want the taupe to come back in stock but I’m not sure if it will be excessive to buy both…
