“adulting” tee // shorts // sneakers // purse // similar sunglasses // watch
Don’t even try and tell me it’s not.
All through college I was anxiously awaiting the “real world” and now that I’m here, I’m trying to figure out how the heck I can go live my college life again. The amount of free time I had freshman year was ABSURD (I didn’t start working during the school year until my sophomore year) – I would workout 2-3x per day, my roommates and I could hang out and watch Friends at 3pm on a Tuesday, I could take naps whenever I wanted…
that was THE LIFE.
Any incoming college kids or current college kids – don’t you dare wish your time away. Soon you’ll look like me – a semi awkward almost adult wearing this t-shirt in public…and you don’t want that.
But thanks to my sister for this birthday gag gift 😉
PS. these shorts are under $20 & super comfy
The real point of today’s post was to share some resources I have found helpful in navigating one of the biggest pain points the real world… MONEY. Everyone’s favorite and least favorite topic to talk about. I’m not going to get into details, but as a young adult our main concerns revolve around money. When our rent is due, car insurance is due, student loans are due, credit card payments are due etc. Managing all of this can be difficult and extremely overwhelming. I’m no expert (publicly admitting a shopping problem here), but here are a few websites & free resources I have found helpful:
Splitwise – we use this to split up the utility bills at our house – its an easy way to keep track
Cash App – hands down the easiest way to transfer money to friends or family (we also use this for bills!)
Acorns – this app can invest your spare change from purchases made on whatever card you link to it!
Credit Card Insider – this website is a great tool for anyone who needs to learn more about credit cards, credit scores (& how to fix them) and much more!
** there are also a ton of budgeting apps out there – I personally do not use one, but HERE is a list of the 11 best ones!
Are there any resources you use to manage it all? If so, share in the comments below!

Wow, you look absolutely amazing in this outfit! 😀
I especially like your Adidas sneakers.
Are they comfy without any socks?
