I decided I NEEDED this jacket right after it sold out for the first time.
Naturally. We always want what we can’t have, right?
Thankfully, after a few unsuccessful tries, I was able to snag this jacket during Nordstrom’s massive anniversary sale in July. But, even though my order went through, it was back-ordered about 4 weeks, so I didn’t get to try it on until late August. Luckily, it didn’t disappoint, as this jacket is absolutely stunning in person. I’m debating buying the taupe color, but I don’t really want to pay full price (since I was able to get this one for almost $70 off during the sale).
That being said, it is real suede, and even at a non-discounted price, it is pretty reasonable compared to other suede jackets out there. Not to mention the color…hello! The quality is great, the jacket is heavy but doesn’t feel confining and I like that it hits just above my hips. Perfect to pair with a tunic!
Of the 5 pieces I shared with you that I purchased from the Nordstrom Aniversary sale (here) – this jacket and these gray boots are the only two items I kept. Both are staple pieces that will last me years, and can easily be remixed with a ton of items I already own. Plus, I saved about $70 per piece by purchasing them early in July instead of waiting until the weather actually felt like fall.
Moral of the story?
Good things (like this jacket) are worth the (4 week back-ordered) wait. 😉
Hope you all have a great day!
xo, Maddy
PS. these earrings are a fun twist on your typical hoop – I’m digging!

Something About That
Hells yes this jacket is everything! I swear only fashion bloggers can understand the obsession! I’m so jealous you were able to get your hands on it – I signed up for the Nordstrom card just to order it and it had already sold out everywhere! It looks so gorgeous on you and I love the burgundy color! I couldn’t bring myself to pay full price either, but I am loving the one I snagged at TJ Maxx even though I’m kind of sad there’s no belt. Suede moto jackets are just fab all around!

You are a suede princess and I LOVE those booties! Killin’ it in those earrings too! I feel like you always wear such great jewelry. I would shop the heck out of a statement earrings post.
That jacket is gorgeous! I want one just like it in a camel color (because I already have burgundy colored faux leather jacket!(, but missed out at the sale. I do agree waiting for the perfect piece is the BEST!
