I jumped on the bodysuit train and I’m never getting off.
I saw this floral backless beauty at H&M and knew I had to give it a shot. I can’t wait to pair it with other skirts & jeans, but I knew I wanted to debut it with this green pleated midi (also from H&M).
This is the outfit I keep sharing on Instagram (you’re probably sick of it) and what I wore to the Style Week OC Fashion Show last weekend. Style Week OC put on a fashion show and hosted multiple shopping parties (where I met Kathleen of CBL) at Fashion Island, a huge outdoor mall in Newport Beach (and consequently way too close to our apartment). I knew going into it that I wanted to create a head turning outfit that perfectly represented me. I believe first impressions are incredibly important, and I wanted to leave a lasting one on anyone I met.
For some reason, I struggle to tell new people about this blog. I think part of me is embarrassed that I continually post photos of myself on the internet, and part of me is nervous about what they will think. Generally I let them figure out on their own if we become Facebook friends, or one of my friends will mention it and I will reluctantly share. I stepped way out of my comfort zone last weekend, and opted to hand out business cards to anyone who complimented my outfit. I’m definitely glad I did, and am actively trying to carry them now (gave one to the receptionist at my physical therapy office yesterday because she always compliments my outfits). I’ve been working hard on Cassidy Lou, and I need to start being proud of myself for the work I put in. Its a fine line between confidence and cockiness, so I’m working toward more confidence sharing this space with new people 🙂
Moral(s) of the story:
-bodysuits are awesome
-H&M is awesome
-you are awesome for reading & sharing
Be confident in yourself and don’t be afraid to brag once in a while (like when you create a killer outfit!)
Thanks so much for reading!
