never get lipstick on your teeth again

I HATE getting lipstick on my teeth.

So much so that I almost never wear lip color. It’s not worth it to me to have to worry the entire night about lipstick on my face, teeth, food, etc. Any other ladies with me? So pretty and stylish but not worth the hassle…until I found a lip color that doesn’t smudge.

THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

A few months ago my friend Lauren started promoting LipSense, a somewhat magical lip color from a company called Senegence. Since Lipsense is a multi-level marketing opportunity, you can bet I was extremely skeptical about the whole ordeal. But I did a little more research, talked to Lauren, and decided to give it a shot. I chose a color and ordered the complete starter “lip kit,” which comes with a color, the finish gloss and the oops remover. It was a bit pricey (in my opinion), with the cost being $55 for all three. But, once you have the starter lip kit, you can purchase other colors alone and reuse the same finish gloss and oops remover. A single color costs $25 (again, still a bit pricey but I would for sure say worth it).

My starter kit came in a few weeks ago and I decided to give LipSense a shot for the Style Week OC Fashion Show two weeks ago.

How to apply:

• Apply 3 separate coats of the color, letting each one dry in between
  • One thing that surprised me was that the color had a burning sensation when it went onto my lips – it is actually exfoliating so this is normal.
• Apply one coat of the glossy gloss
• *use Oops remover if you need to remove any from your lips/skin

I used to glossy gloss to touch up my lips throughout the night but the color didn’t come off, which definitely impressed me. As you can see below, my straw is completely clean – no leaving lip prints everywhere!

Lipsense is available in a plethora of colors, with everything from pinks, to reds, to oranges, to purple and even browns & blacks! I just ordered my second color (named Heartbreaker) and will be showing it off on the blog soon!
