getting hot & heavy…

…with Zara that is.

I’ve always been a Zara fan, but never a big shopper since the closest Zara to me was always a few hours away (Chicago). When traveling I would sometimes stop in, or pick something up, but rarely ordered online because I was unsure about sizing. Luckily, there is a now a Zara about 15 minutes away from me (perks of Southern California) and I’m able to shop online & return in store (my preferred method).

I first saw these jeans on Instagram and loved them! I’d been on a hunt for a pair of funkier jeans that weren’t expensive. I ordered an embroidered pair, but they ended up being horribly unflattering, so when I saw these for under $60 at Zara, I gave them a chance.

Like other European stores (TopShop, H&M, Asos), you have to be aware of the sizing differences. I ended up ordering my normal size 2 and a size 4 just in case, and am SO glad I did. I couldn’t get the size 2 jeans over my mid thigh!

They’re a bit broken in already & very comfy (in my opinion). I’ve already worn them styled two different ways and I’m seeing endless possibilities for fall & winter. (AKA prepare to see them on the blog again, and again, and again).

Moral of the story – go to Zara. And get these jeans & these mules. They’re gorgeous.
