It’s official. I’m losing it.
I’ve been doing some things in 2016 that even make me stop and question my sanity. So naturally I thought I’d share them with you (in case anyone else is guilty of the same things.)
1.) I tried to unlock my hotel room by using the unlock button on my car key FOB…twice. (It didn’t work either time, surprise!)
2.) That same night I found my earrings I had “lost” that morning in the hotel room trash can. I had spent 15 minutes looking for them that morning, but eventually gave up and went to my work training. When I finally returned to the hotel, something in my brain said “check the garbage can” and lo and behold – there they were.
** I told a co-worker about these two things the following day and they immediately asked (with a concerned look) if I was super stressed and/or sleeping enough haha.
3.) This year I have had both a pair of Ray Bans and a Daniel Wellington watch disappear on me! I looked for a few months for both but ended up having to replace them….why can’t I lose $10 items, not $150+ items??
4.) I have asked the boys multiple times how late the gym is open….we belong to a gym named “24 Hour Fitness”…
5.) I have to scroll quickly through any sad animal photos or videos on Facebook because I am guaranteed to cry and sometimes sitting with your co-workers at lunch or in line to checkout at the grocery store isn’t an appropriate place to cry.
Please tell me someone else has at least done one of these things? If not, well, at least I’m here to entertain.
PS. It appears I’m all about shades of blue and black and white stripes these days. This top is actually a tunic with side slits – I can’t find it online but I did snag it in store at Old Navy. I have one from last year I wore to death so I was thrilled to find it again this year.
Happy Hump Day pretty people!
xo, Maddy

Sorry to hear the troubles :(. Maybe a dish or basket for important things nesr the door could help? We do that at our house & cottage, turns out lots of my lost stuff ends up there, the first place to check.
Ps, where is the skirt from?!
love the idea!!
and Banana Republic – I’ll send you the link
Oh my goodness, I must be losing it too. I’m with you on #2 and 5!
Also, loving the outfit! Stripes are always a win 🙂

Something About That
[…] I shared this Banana Republic skirt back in October with sneakers, a striped tee and a chambray for a more casual look, so today I wanted to share a way to dress it up. And, you may notice that almost all the items I paired with the skirt (leather jacket, v neck tee, leopard clutch & rainbow necklace) made the cut for my 10 closet essentials list. […]
[…] I knew I had plenty of blue in my closet to style with these heels, so I reached for an old Forever 21 top (last seen here) and a pleated Banana Republic skirt (last seen here + here). […]
