My heart could explode after the last 5 days spent back in Michigan.
It’s amazing what time to refresh and reset can do for your soul. Especially lately, as I’ve been needing to get out of Orange County. As gorgeous as it is here, I’m ready to move on to the next adventure. But, our lease isn’t up until May – so until then I’ll stay put.
On Thursday we visited one of my favorite fall spots in Grand Rapids – Robinette’s – for a (super healthy) breakfast of cider & donuts. They have the BEST donuts (don’t even try to disagree with me), as well as fudge, a winery with wine tasting, apple picking, hayrides and more. It is a family owned orchard and they are the nicest people, plus it’s not far from downtown so it was a quick trip out there.
Almost my entire outfit is from Old Navy (flannel, vest & jeans) – and as I’ve mentioned before – they really have the best flannels & vests for fall.
Sidenote: I’m a bit sad because my mom mailed two boxes of my fall & winter clothes to my friends house so I could pick them up while I was in town. And somehow, UPS says they were delivered but she never received them. So either someone stole two boxes of my clothes off her porch, or they are lost somewhere in UPS. I’m hoping for the latter, as the boxes were full of my favorite Old Navy flannels, a few pairs of leather boots, a Rebecca Minkoff bag (and more). But, in the end its only clothing, so I’ll survive just fine without them.
The rest of the long weekend was spent visiting friends, loving all the leaves and fall colors, going to two nights of Bassnectar for Halloween, walking around downtown, eating at all my favorite spots, and overall having a wonderful time with wonderful people.
As I was leaving yesterday I was wishing for 5 more days to see everyone (it’s really hard to see all the people you care about in only 5 days) but it looks like I’ll have to plan my next trip back.
That’s all for today. Thank you SO much for following along & supporting Cassidy Lou. You rock!
