Hello and (happy?) Monday. I’m currently at the office but wishing I was in bed. I spent the weekend in San Francisco with Lizzie and didn’t get back to the apartment til 11:30 last night, then stayed up cooking, relaxing and cleaning a bit til 1:15am, so you can bet that 6:15am alarm was rough. (I see a nap in my future). Anyway.
I’m a big fan of statement pieces (necklaces, bags, shoes, you name it). My style tends to gravitate toward classic patterns (stripes & polka dots) and solid colored pieces, so I love to play around with bold accessories…like these ZARA pom pom heels (HERE).
I saw them a few months ago and talked myself out of them, as they are clearly not the most practical shoe. But last month I gave in and decided I would share multiple ways to style them. This week I’ll be sharing today’s look, a holiday party look, and a more casual look with you all.
Today’s look falls in between dressy & casual – but it would work really well as a transition into spring outfit (for those of you that actually experience seasons). This CULT GAIA bamboo bag is definitely has more of a summer vibe, but the bamboo is so awesome I had to style it. It feels holiday-esque to me because of the jewel tones, but I can also wear it without having a heat stroke (its 86 degrees today!)
Make sure to check back later this week for the next two outfits 🙂
Hoping you all have a wonderful week. I’ll be over here faking it til I make it.
xo, Maddy
