Like my father, my brain is either moving full speed or I’m asleep.
As I mentioned on Instagram yesterday, I’m bad at doing nothing, even when exhausted. I always end up feeling guilty because I’m not accomplishing one of the many tasks that needs to be done. Saturday was one of those days for me. I was TIRED after last week. I fell asleep at 10:30 Friday night and slept til 9:30 Saturday morning, but once I was awake I still wasn’t in the mood to do anything. So, we ended up taking it pretty easy this weekend, and after meal prepping & tidying up last night, I’m feeling much more refreshed to tackle this week. My friend Chelsea said that our bodies & minds need time to recoup, and sometimes doing nothing is the best for that. (Thanks Chels!) Allowing our bodies and minds time to relax is self-care, and is just as necessary as going to the gym and being productive.
Do any of you struggle with this? Let me know ways to help stop feeling guilty when I’m lazy 🙂

Side note: This Old Navy tunic is my most worn shirt. Hands down. I have two of the exact same one and just ordered one more in black with white stripes haha. The 3/4 sleeves, black and white stripes and split side tunic length make it crazy versatile & comfy. I’ve worn it on the blog HERE and HERE, and it has made 12 appearances on my Instagram since the end of October (+ you will see it again on the blog Wednesday!)
Also – this LOFT skirt is on super sale. I’ve worn it to work a handful of times to work and it is equally cute & comfy. The front ruffle adds a little fun to an otherwise basic skirt.

I am amazingly good at doing nothing. Maybe you should consider being lazy as an activity like working out, and give yourself 45 minutes or an hour to just do nothing. That way it’s an activity in itself!

I think I’m going to have to do that. My favorite “nothing” to do is napping 🙂
I love this look! And those heels are absolutely gorgeous!
