I’m not a big DIY-er for many reasons (the main one being lack of patience) but, when I found myself absolutely loving these heels at Nordstrom, I knew I could make them for a fraction of the price.
The nice thing about making your own shoes is that you get to choose the black pumps, so you can avoid finding a pair of shoes that look great but feel terrible. For me, I went with Old Navy’s classic pump. I’ve talked about these before, and along with being cost effective (yay!) they are also a reasonable height and work for all day wear (double yay!). I own them in pink (here), metallic (here), red velvet (here) and now black.
As for supplies – I stopped into my local Michael’s to snag a mini glue gun (here) and pom pom hair rubberbands (they have these keychains you could use as well). I cut the rubber bands off the pom poms, heated up the hot glue gun and then glued those babies on.

These are absolutely adorable, and I love the inexpensive DIY option! Super easy too! xo
