Happy Friday!

As I’m typing this I just looked down and realized I only painted my nails on one hand yesterday…oh well. Mere hours separate us from the weekend (thank goodness!) and I’m pretty darn excited to hop on a plane to San Francisco this evening.

But, back to blogging. I apologize for the overload of photos, but this is one of my favorite outfits. Not because it’s innovative or ground breaking, but because it feels the most like me.

My go-to outfit for fall/winter has 4 main components:

• skinny pant ( generally denim or leather)
• tunic (usually striped from Old Navy)
• a flat shoe (preferably sneaks or ankle boots)
• some jacket (generally moto style)

I can easily cater to the outfit as needed by switching out the pants, adding accessories, or a heels (like I did here) for a dressier look. For example – I’m sitting in the office now in the same tunic (but white with black stripes), dark skinny jeans, suede black booties and my blush moto jacket. 

Since I’m short, I like to play with proportions, which is why I think I’m drawn to the tunic + moto jacket combo. Generally motorcycle style jackets tend to fit broad shoulders the best – so I don’t feel constricted layering with them.
