Rehearsal Dinner Style

WE MADE IT!

That’s right, I’m typing this on my laptop in Grand Rapids, MI. It was quite the journey to get here, and I can’t tell you how happy I am that its over. After leaving Newport Beach at 2pm on Wednesday, we drove through 5 states, hopped on a flight from Denver to Chicago, then drove home through a few more states to get to Michigan. My grand plans of a fun road trip and hiking at Zion were ruined by the car shipping company. Long story short we were supposed to leave Saturday and had to leave Wednesday afternoon. But, I’m here in time for tonight’s rehearsal dinner and tomorrow’s wedding, which is all that matters.

Speaking of, today’s look is what I will be wearing to the rehearsal tonight. This dress is outside the boundaries of my normal style, but when I saw it in the window of Talia (a local boutique) I knew it would be perfect for at least one of the events I have this summer. The owner (Talia) is so sweet, and I spent at least 30 minutes chatting with her the last time I was there.
