Splurge vs. Save: Summer Jumpsuit Edition

If you’ve been following along you may remember the Anthropologie Spring Fashion show I had the pleasure of walking in at the end of March. If not, that sentence pretty much sums it up haha. Back in March, I, along with 20 other women, walked the “runway” at the Newport Beach Anthropologie store (which is huge and gorgeous by the way) to promote the spring styles. It was a ton of fun, and I actually made a good friend (Amy) from that night.

In exchange for modeling, we received a small goody bag, and a coupon for 25% off that night. Naturally I fell in love with a few items (these earrings, these mules and this jumpsuit), but when your total would be more than $675 with a discount, you decide its probably smarter to put that toward rent for the month and walk away. (I mean I love shoes, but I also love sleeping under a roof…priorities).

sidenote: I did eventually go back and snag the red mules (after going back and forth for 3 weeks), but am so glad I did because I know I’ll wear them a ton. [You’ve already seen them on here twice – one // two].

Fast forward to this past weekend at the TJ Maxx in Toledo…my mom and I walk in and I spot this jumpsuit. Not exact, but pretty darn similar to the Anthro one, and about 13% of the price (no joke!). I bought it without trying it on and was pleasantly surprised when it fit perfectly. I actually wore it out to the Knickerbocker with friends last night and received a handful of compliments – score!

I scoured the internet last night but sadly couldn’t find a link to it ANYWHERE. But, the brand is Mimi Chica, I found it at the TJ Maxx in Toledo, and I hope your TJ Maxx has it if you’re interested.
