For all of you that didn’t work Memorial Day I’m sure it feels darn good to start the week on a Tuesday 🙂
For all of you that did work this weekend I feel your pain haha. This weekend was a whirlwind for me as I am co-managing a pool and coaching a swimteam – and Memorial Day weekend is the first open weekend for many pools + clubs. But, I did have Sunday off to attend the gorgeous wedding of my friend Sheena. (Seriously, if you watched my Instastory you saw how cool it was!)
Along with all the wonderful things Memorial Day weekend brings (beaches, cook-outs, vacations, laying by the pool), it also somewhat symbolizes the “start” of summer for fashion….aka all the white dresses and eyelet anyone could want.
Because I’m difficult, I don’t ever abide by the “white after Memorial Day” rule, but if you do, now is your time to shine. There are so many adorable pieces out there to incorporate into your summer wardrobe. Old Navy is one of my favorite spots for affordable summer dresses, and I got lucky when I snagged this one for 50% off because it was an online only product that happened to be returned in store in my size. (Win!)
I also snagged a new pair of white jeans for the summer from Ann Taylor – I have been SO happy with their Modern Skinny Ankle jeans (they come in tall and petite) – I have them in a dark wash + white. They are flattering on tons of different body types and fit like a dream. My friend Becca actually introduced me to them! So if you’re in the market for new white jeans you can check them out here.
(PS. I ALWAYS wait until Ann Taylor has 40% or 50% off the entire store to buy anything there because they do those sales quite frequently)
