The effortless black dress (for under $30!)

Good morning + Happy Monday!

I’m finally going to be on my game this week and get 3 posts published (hold me to that!) I had high hopes for last week, but between travel and work one post was all I had in me. Speaking of travel, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan were so stinkin’ beautiful last week – we couldn’t have asked for better weather. This is the third time I’ve been up there and still snapped a ton of pictures on my phone  – are those something you would like to see? Let me know!

Today I wanted to share this versatile LBD (little black dress) with you! I styled it for an office setting, but it has a ton of potential. The cut is flattering, the ruffled sleeves add a feminine detail, and the hem is long enough you don’t feel the need to continually pull it down. The dress is also lightweight, which is nice for the 80+ degree temps we’re having now (!!!), but will also be useful in January when you’re wearing tights and a sweater and for some reason the office heater feels like a sauna…

If black isn’t your color, the dress is also available at Target in a bright pink and red floral pattern. As I mentioned two weeks ago, Target has a ton of great pieces lately, so if you’re looking to make a few wardrobe updates on a budget, make sure to scope them out.
