I’ve talked about before, but flannel is the fall/winter uniform of the Midwest, no matter your gender. Actually, I wrote about it last fall while wearing this exact same flannel…except it was tucked into a leather skirt.
I wasted no time pulling this BB Dakota shirtdress back out this year. It is just too darn easy to wear. I usually add this quilted vest from Old Navy or my leather jacket to it, but I’ve also tucked it into sequin skirts, leather skirts, and paired with a gray vest + booties…I even wore it for my glam session with Vanity Belle last year…can you tell I like it?
This exact dress is no longer available, but I’ve linked two below that are really similar and from Old Navy (aka affordable).
Also – I’ve been thinking a lot about blogging, what I want to say and where I want to go with this creative space, and I’m coming to the conclusion I want to challenge myself and show you all multiple ways to wear the same piece every time I post. Is that something you’d be interested in? Let me know!
Happy Sunday 🙂

I love flannel for fall, and we are finally having cool enough weather for me to wear it. YAY! Such a cute dress on you!
