Hey friends, good morning! Now that summer is in full swing in Grand Rapids, I want to chat about a summer essential – sunglasses!
I have annoyingly sensitive eyes, which is why in the summer/on vacation you will often see me rocking the polarized sunglasses + baseball cap duo. Back in high school I remember I used to lifeguard without sunglasses (which is probably why my eyebrow furrow is so pronounced), but once I bit the bullet and bought my first pair of polarized, I never looked back.
When I caved and bought my first pair of expensive polarized sunglasses [Ray Ban Original Aviator] I told myself I HAD to take care of them. Since then I’ve added another pair of Ray Bans [Round Flash] to my collection, but I’ve also added less expensive polarized pairs that I prefer to wear when there’s a chance they may get lost or broken.
1.) Sunglass Warehouse – They have SO many options (90 polarized pairs ranging from $12.95 – $18.95) and were kind enough to send me the fun pair I’m wearing in these photos. I love that they are lightweight and I don’t have to stress about anything happening to them. Plus, with prices like that you can snag yourself a few pairs. 🙂
PS. they are currently offering 30% off their already crazy affordable sunglasses through tomorrow, June 5th with the code TENT30
2.) Target – I currently own a pair of polarized Target sunglasses and I love them. They’re lightweight, dark enough for me to wear without a hat, and are relatively tough.
3.) Knockaround – My friend Ian wore a pair from Knockaround all last summer lifeguarding + he recommends them 🙂
I want to hear from you all – where are your favorite places to purchase affordable sunglasses? Are you stuck with polarized like me?
Thanks for following along. Have a great Monday!
xo, Maddy

Huge thanks to Sunglass Warehouse for partnering with me on this post. While I did receive these sunglasses in exchange for my review, all opinions are always my own.
