Keep it simple.
Some days that’s what I want my style to be; simple, classic and chic… and then I gravitate toward rainbow sequin dresses + floral suit sets and simplicity goes out the window.
Truly though, that is one of the things I love about style. You can change yours daily based on what you wear.
There are items I wear all year round (leopard print footwear), and then there are more seasonal materials I’m drawn to (leather in the fall/winter) and more “earthy” items (for lack of better term) in the summer. I’ve been wearing my Jord wooden watch daily (from this collaboration back in 2015) because it is so lightweight and the color goes with everything. I almost always receive compliments or questions on it, and while wooden watches are becoming more popular, they still aren’t overdone yet (personal opinion).
This bamboo handle purse I stumbled upon at an “art fair.” I use the term art fair loosely, as it was more of a craft/art/resale/food fair in small town Michigan over Father’s Day weekend. The purse was $2.25 (no joke) but naturally we only had $1.25 in cash – so the adorable old woman selling it gave me a dollar that I just gave back to her. Seriously the sweetest.
Anyway, this ended up being more fashion related than I intended. I promise I have more topics coming soon – I seriously just need some time to sit down + write.
As always, thank you for following along with my chaos.
xo,
Maddy
PS. I stepped outside my skinny jean box with this pair of demi boot flares from Madewell (via my ongoing collab with Shopbop). It’s my first pair of Madewell jeans and I’m loving them. I stayed true to size 🙂
