Before I dive in, I want to preface this by saying I love dramatic textures in the fall/winter- faux furs, sequin covered anything, velvet wrap dresses…I’m here for it.
Here are some fun sequin posts from archives (12/4/13) + (12/30/13)
I love wearing these items in my day to day life, but recognize that oftentimes those fabrics are way outside someone’s comfort zone of “daily wear” and are reserved for holidays or events. Because I want my closet (and your closet) to be as versatile as possible, I wanted to share 5 ways to style a sequin skirt for all different types of events. That way, if you do purchase one for any event this holiday season, you can wear it long after the holidays are over and lower the cost per wear of the item.
The skirt I’ll be styling is old, I bought it from J.Crew Factory in 2016. There are a million different skirts out there, and I’ve linked a few options below for you. I’d advise sticking to a neutral tone for the skirt (either silver, black, or gold) that way you can pair all different types of colors and patterns with it.
***I got lucky and it was 50 degrees when we shot these photos last weekend, so now thats its 25 and snowing – I’d add some black tights!***
I'm a life + success coach for humans like you who want the support to gain the clarity, confidence, and competence to become the most confident and successful version of yourself.
look 1 is great, look 2 is horrible ;-( , look 3 and 4 are super, look 5 takes the breath away, it is beautifull! In which look are you with bare legs (in November)???
lots of greetings
