There’s a good chance you have at least one holiday party to attend this month, whether it be for work, with friends or with family. This year, instead of opting for a more traditional holiday outfit (think red, plaid, etc), maybe try something a little different…like lilac + emerald green.
This look was originally inspired by Blair Eadie, whose style I adore. I used pieces I already had in my closet, and while emerald and lavender aren’t an obvious pair, I find they complement each other.
Naturally I had to add some sort of leopard shoe, but if you wanted to make this more casual you could easily switch it to a leopard sneaker and throw on a distressed denim jacket.
This H&M midi skirt is definitely one of my closet MVPS. I’ve worn it paired with all different tops (bodysuits, sweaters, tunics, tees, etc) and find the it works well almost year round.
Initially I was intimidated by midi skirts. I thought I was too short to wear them, that they would hit at an awkward spot, etc. but, I believe women all of all heights can rock a pleated midi. What really matters is how you style it!
Have you ever paired lilac and green? What are some of your favorite uncommon color combinations?
xo, Maddy
