As I mentioned last week, I rented this striped Diane von Furstenberg dress with my Rent the Runway unlimited trial and I LOVED IT. I seriously considered purchasing it from them for the entire month I rented it, but eventually had to exhibit self control, and send it back (and now I regret it haha).
I’ve never been one for body con dresses, but this dress had great reviews and looked flattering on women of all sizes on the website, so I went for it. It is very thick knit and does a pretty good job of holding its shape for more than one wear. I wore it with Allison to the Nutcracker when we had a warm (40 degree) day in December and felt confident (and fabulous) wearing it.
I’ve heard amazing things about Diane von Furstenberg dresses, but never really had a place or reason to try one on. Her wrap dresses are what started her career and are iconic, but I much prefer this playful striped midi and think it is SO versatile (how cute would it be with white sneakers and a denim jacket in the spring?)
Even though the dress itself is bold, I opted to pair it with bold accessories anyway. I’m wearing the Madison 12 Hour Block Heel pump from Banana Republic (they are comfortable for pumps but I don’t think I could stand for 12 hours like they claim) and my clear resin necklace from Anthropologie. I linked similar items for both below.
Do any of your own DVF dresses? If so l want to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for following along (and if you find this dress in a size small anywhere online – let me know haha)
