wearing this tee /// these jeans /// similar blazer
Over the past few months I’ve found myself constantly wanting a boot that was stylish but functional in snow/ice (because Michigan). I have plenty of heeled ankle boots that I rotate through, and a pair of snow boots I adore, but nothing in between, which left me either slipping everywhere or lugging around bulky snow boots daily.
I wanted a boot with traction that was comfortable enough for me walk all day in, but that was still pretty and sleek.
Enter: the hiker style boot. Less bulky than Dr. Martens, slimmer than combat boots and still functional! I’d been seeing hiker style boots everywhere, but naturally the ones I liked were all in the $150-$300 range, which was way more than I was willing to pay, especially part of the way through the season.
After a few weeks of online searching I came across the pair I’m wearing above, by the brand Indigo Rd. at Macy’s. They were on sale for under $40, which sounded a lot better than $200.
I bought these boots last week and have worn them everyday since. I’m going on day 7 of these boots (no joke) and have worn them with skirts, dresses, leather leggings and jeans so far!
I’ve linked a handful of similar boots (at all price ranges) below if you’re interested. I know it’s already February, but we still have plenty of winter left in Michigan.
Thanks for stopping by today…stay warm this weekend!
xo, Maddy
