Feeling bold in a floral mini dress + leopard boots.
Clearly these photos were taken before the snow hit us Monday and Tuesday. I’m really hoping it melts and we can go back to 35-40 degrees for at least a few more weeks since I boldly told someone last month that I didn’t think we’d really get snow until Christmas (what a joke haha).
Every winter I find myself in the same clothing rut of black jeans or faux leather leggings but, since getting my first pair of fleece lined tights last year, I’m ready to break it up more for the next 5 months (that hurts to type) and mix and match plenty of skirts and dresses. Fleece lined tights are SO MUCH more comfortable than regular tights, so do yourself a favor and get a pair (or two) now.
I had been on the hunt for one or two darker based floral dresses, and I was happy when I found this one at Target. I’m a big fan of the Who What Wear Collection line they have there (you can shop it here). The pieces are fashionable + fun, the price point is great, and they generally make multiple items in each pattern to give you options.
I like this mini dress for both the versatility to wear it now and later. Since I already own a plethora of jackets (hi, I like what I like), I knew my closet had plenty of pieces to pair with it. Changing up your shoes and outerwear is a really easy way to completely change the look of the dress. Plus, this is cut wider, so you can easily choose to belt it (like I did here) or let it flow haha. It also doesn’t hurt that it’s under $40 and has pockets, because who doesn’t love a dress with pockets?
Below I’m sharing 5 ways I plan to style the dress, but I know there are plenty more. It’s currently in stock in all sizes at Target, so if you’ve been looking for a floral mini as well, head on over there and check it out!
1.) Black faux leather jacket + hiker boots (+ tights if you need them)
2.) Burgundy suede moto, black ankle boots + a black belt
3.) A denim jacket + pair of sneakers (fall/spring)
4.) A long camel blazer, pumps and a chain belt
5.) Leopard boots, a bold belt and a blush moto jacket – like I did here!

Lots of greetings

I really like this look. I’m not brave enough to mix prints the way you have and I think you’ve done it really well!
