The November Five

As always, 5 things I loved this November…

1.) Concerts

November felt like the month of concerts (and I’m not mad about it at all). We saw three back to back nights of Bassnectar in Grand Rapids over Halloween weekend, then Loud Luxury and MK in Chicago, then Big Wild and Gramatik + Opiuo in Grand Rapids. (All in a matter of two weeks haha). I LOVE live music, and while I prefer outdoor festivals in the summer, I’m almost always down for a show year round.

2.) Madewell Classic Straight Jean

I bought them 30% off in early November after eyeing them online for a while (a Madewell store recently opened in Grand Rapids), and since purchasing I have been wearing them non-stop. Yes, part of that is due to us finally moving into the house/having things packed, but they are AMAZING. I ended up sizing down one size and will continue to wear them on repeat until spring.

3.) Chicago Trip

Ricky, Devin and I have decided to make our November Chicago trip an annual thing and we had a blast this year (minus the whole being kicked out of our AirBnB for having 3 people instead of 2 haha). The weather cooperated, we saw other friends and shopped, ate and explored for a long weekend 🙂

4.) Aerie Ribbed Long Sleeve Henley

Aka what I have dubbed my “weekend” shirt. But let’s be real, I’ve also slept in it multiple times and worn it work (I have a very casual office environment). I’ve actually worn it so much that Brendan commented something along the lines of “Is this going to be your winter shirt?” Why, yes, it is. It’s the perfect weight, soft + cozy, and looks a bit more pulled together than that old long sleeve you have from high school. I own both the light and dark gray and have pretty much been living in those and the aforementioned Madewell jeans.

5.) Thanksgiving Weekend

A long weekend with my people at my parents was exactly what I needed. But, the speeding ticket I got on the way there wasn’t (my first one!), so we’re going to let that slide. Grateful to be able to spend a relaxing weekend in Ohio!
