10 Favorites from 2019

I thought it would be fun to round up some of my favorites from 2019. Items that I wore/used ALL THE TIME, and still love and continue to use. Thankfully a lot of them are still available, so if you’re interested feel free to click the links below. Happy Monday!

Indigo Rd Hiker Boots

Truly the best, and maybe next year I’ll upgrade to the much nicer Marc Fisher version, but I still get stopped every single time I wear these boots (probably why they got the top spot in the favorites!) Last weekend while putting air in my tires a woman at the gas station rolled down her window to tell me how much she loved the boots and ask where I got them. Sadly this exact pair is gone, but I’ve linked similar pairs by the same brand below!

Emerson Fry Tiger Tee

Conveniently also wearing it in the photo above with the hiker boots, but I bought this graphic tee in January last year from a local boutique in GR – Blackbird East [sidenote: Debbi (the owner) is so kind, so definitely stop in if you’re local]. I will admit that I was a bit extra and got it hemmed, but now it fits way better and I reach for it frequently. I love the tiger, the smoke gray and how soft it is. It is definitely my most worn graphic tee.

AGOLDE Parker Denim shorts

I kept my two older pairs of American Eagle shorts this summer to see if I’d wear them. Spoiler alert, I didn’t. Lizzie and I are both rocking the Parker shorts here in Palm Springs. Expect to see them just as much in summer 2020. I’ve linked a handful of their shorts below!

Athleta Elation 7/8 Tight

I wore them all this past weekend (mainly because I love them but also because I don’t own any sweatpants right now haha). They are thicker (not see through!), the rise is great, they hold you in without feeling constricted. I will say they are a little thick for summer lifting for me, but the rest of the year we’re good. Shop them HERE!

FRÉ Skin Care

Technically I started using this near the end of 2018, but 2019 was the first year I’d ever implemented some sort of skincare “routine” (and I use the term routine loosely haha). It was the first year I used the same products consistently, and while I added two from Deciem at the end of this year, majority of my products are FRÉ.

I currently use their 123Set daily, which includes a face wash (Purify Me), sunscreen moisturizer (Protect Me) and rejuvenating serum (Revive Me). In addition, I use their under eye cream at night (Brighten Me), and their entire Body Line. The body oil (Glow Body) is the only thing keeping my skin moisturized right now with the cold! I’m a big fan of the body wash (Purify Body) and in the summer I used the body sunscreen (Protect Body) all the time. Lastly, I have their detox mask (Detox Me) that I use a few times a month, and always after returning from travel.

H&M Faux Leather A-line Skirt(s)

So nice I bought it thrice? Sure, let’s make that a thing. And I actually wore all 3 colors in the last 2 weeks. (Even my dad noticed how much I’ve been wearing them with a comment of “oh, another leather skirt?” haha) I’ve always loved having a black faux leather mini skirt, but both the tan and the olive have proven to be extremely versatile. Madewell Classic Black Denim

I wanted a non skinny pair of black denim and after eying these for months online, I finally tried them on at the GR store. They’re 98% cotton, high rise, and comfortable. I don’t know if they’re the MOST flattering pants I’ve ever worn but I love them regardless and wear them between 2-3x per week. (Sizing note – I would go down one size from your normal!)

Wear Talia Bracelets

I put them on at the beginning of August and they haven’t come off since. Sweat, chlorine, sunscreen, showers, and they still look brand new. They’re gold filled, and I hope to add a few more to my stack this year! PS. Aerie Ribbed Henley Tees

I know I only bought them in November, but I cannot stop wearing them. I’ve even dubbed them my “weekend shirts.” They’re cozy and more put together than your an old beat up baseball tee, and can easily be worn with jeans, leggings or sweats. Naturally I have both shades of gray haha.

Darn Tough Socks

• I LOVE SOCKS. So much. As much as I love SmartWool and my favorite Life is Good ones, I think Darn Tough have taken the lead. Their lifetime guarantee is quite the selling point as well. I currently have three styles, the Micro Crew Light Cushion, the Vertex 1/4 Ultra Light Cushion and a third that my mom got me that I’m completely blanking on the name.
