hello + good morning. Back again today to talk about my favorite skincare products and to remind you that I’m giving some away over on Instagram! I’ve been using FRÉ products since October 2018, and wrote my first review back in July 2019 about their starter set, the 123 Set.
As I’ve mentioned before, I never had a “skincare routine” before using FRÉ. I was the more in the camp of “what face wash is simple and on sale at Target?” I will say, I was committed to Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, but didn’t love that it didn’t have any SPF.
Fast forward to today, where I have slowly expanded my FRÉ Skincare collection, and now use their body products as well. I’m a person that, once I find something I like I stop looking, so while there are a million and one skincare products out there, this is working for me. [In addition to the numerous friends who have converted to their products as well.] What really stood out to me when I first tried FRÉ is that it specifically designed for active (read: sweaty) women. Since fitness is a huge part of my life, this was a big deciding factor in initially trying it out.
I want to put my money into companies whose values align with mine, and FRÉ is a company I’m proud to stand with. They work to support women’s empowerment through social awareness campaigns, and partnering with women’s cooperatives to purchase Argan oil (a main component of their products). Anyway, I wanted to give a quick breakdown of the FRÉ Skincare products I use and when I use them:
Purify Me – Face Wash
Protect Me – Daily moisturizer with SPF 30
Revive Me – Deep Replenishing Serum
The three of these make up the 123Set, the most popular starter set. I’m a nighttime shower person, so I wash my face with Purify Me in the evening and then use Revive Me (or Recover Me) before bed. In the morning I rinse my face, use a Vitamin C booster from Deciem, SubQ eyes from Deciem and then apply Protect Me. In terms of how long they last – I used my 123Set everyday for 4ish months before I had to order more!
Detox Me – an awesome detox mask. I ALWAYS use this when I return home from travel, and then probably a few times a month in addition to that. I find that it pulls everything to the surface and leaves me skin feeling so fresh. (Definitely follow it up with Revive Me or Recover Me)
Brighten Me – An under-eye brightening cream. I use this before bed (after either Revive Me or Recover Me). Yes, I do two under eye creams in one day, but genetically I’m blessed with horrible under eye bags no matter how much I sleep soooo. It’s a big point of insecurity for me. Those without under-eye bags and puffiness – I envy you!
Recover Me – A restorative night serum. I wasn’t sure how different it would be from Revive Me, but in addition to moisturizing my skin, it also feels like it heals it. I’m currently running a giveaway on Instagram for a full size bottle! Come enter here!
Purify Body – Body wash
Protect Body – Body sunscreen SPF 30
Glow Body – Body Oil
The three of these make up the FRÉ Body Set. I use Purify Body daily in the shower, specifically focusing on my back and clavicle area (where sweat can hang out and cause breakouts). I save Protect Body for spring + summer because I live in the Midwest haha. But I use it all over my body, and keep Protect Me on my face. I love that it’s not sticky or thick and doesn’t smell like normal sunscreen. Lastly, I use Glow Body on my arm and legs. It but saved my poor arms and legs alllll winter long. Cold Michigan winter + swimming in chlorine = my skin needed all the help it could get.
