hello hello. I’m excited today to share my review of the Olive & June Everything Box with you. I received a good amount of messages on Instagram when I shared that I had purchased it, but I wanted to put the polish to the test before doing an actual review.
First off – Olive & June is a brand based out of LA. Originally Olive & June opened as a nail salon in 2013, but they’ve expanded into selling at home products as well. I’ve had this box on my wishlist for almost a year, but finally bit the bullet during quarantine. I don’t foresee myself in a nail salon any time soon, and I have plenty of time to perfect my at home mani. I chose to purchase a manicure kit because it seemed like the best value + the best way to get my manicure to last. If you’re interested in simply purchasing a polish, or something individually you can do that as well. But, today is all about the kits!
Olive & June currently offers four “mani kits.” The Tool Box (all tools and no polish), The Studio Box ($50), The Everything Box ($80) and The Treat Yourself Box ($100). The only difference in boxes is the amount of nail polish colors.
6 colors of your choice
1 neutral of your choice

Flat-edge nail clippers
Dual-grit nail file
Buffer Cube

Nail Polish Remover Pot (non-acetone)
Clean Up Brush
I wanted to truly put this polish to the test before I recommended it to anyone, and I can say that it absolutely holds up. I hate to say it, but I’m a monster to my nails. Below are daily shots of my nails day by day over the past week. These nails survived dishes, laundry, a bathroom deep clean, scrubbing wood trim, switching the plates out on the barbell + lifting weights. (For reference, I’ve chipped an entire dip nail off before at the gym switching plates). As you can see, there was a tiny bit of chipping on the end, but outside of quarantine my weeks don’t involve Murphy’s Oil soap and scrubbing trim. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised with how well this polish held up!
I painted my nails on Sunday and took it off the following Sunday (by choice!) Colors I used from Left to Right: BI, JLR, KMC, BP & JM.
I love the kit. And will continue doing my own manis for the foreseeable future. Yes, I will probably still get a professional manicure every once in a while, or for special occasions, but I love the polish and the Everything Box! Not to mention I love supporting a small, female run business. For $80 the Everything Box is an amazing value. Considering a single Essie polish retails for $9, and this kit includes 7 colors plus a top coat, you’re already winning. At the salon I go to in Grand Rapids a dip manicure is $40 + tip. Yes, this is not the same as a dip. But two dip manicures plus tips are more than this entire box.
Anyway, I hope this was helpful! I know plenty of you were on the fence about whether or not to purchase. I am happy to answer any questions. Thanks for stopping by today!
xo, Maddy

Thank you for the post! I found you via Pinterest. Usually I research and then buy and I did a little research but ended up buying the system and now as I wait for it to be delivered am learning more. This was helpful! Looking forward to giving this a try. I did get a dip set while in lockdown and it is fine, but I know the chemicals are so bad. I have been known to hold my breath as I paint and that cannot be a good sign! Thanks again!
Shannon – so glad to hear you found me and the review was helpful. Hope you love your set!!
