hello + good morning, coming to you like from…my house. Because that’s where I am majority of the time these days. Today I want to share about the Nashville based brand ABLE; the maker of these amazing boots and all around GOOD company. (This is not sponsored nor a collab.)
I discovered them through Paige back in 2019, but didn’t make my first purchase until this year! I purchased 3 gold filled rings back in the late summer and have been loving them. If you’re curious I own the Beam Ring (mine is engraved to say “be bold”), the Chain ring, and a turquoise one that’s not currently available.
This fall I fell in love with their Tori Boot . Also know as the stunning blue and tan snakeskin boots I’m wearing here. I don’t foresee many opportunities to wear them this winter, but I plan to rock them for years to come.
Aside from gorgeous, quality products, there are plenty of reasons to support ABLE. First, they employ 95% women, and work directly to pay them fair wages and help end the cycle of poverty. In 2018 ABLE was the first fashion brand to publish their lowest wages (you can read more about that here) because they believe transparency + accountability are the way to ending worker poverty in the fashion industry.
In addition, they have taken sustainability measures in multiple aspects of their business, including shipping and packaging, using discarded hides for leather goods and melting down scrap metal to remake into jewelry. Again, you can read more about that here!
ABLE covers everything from jewelry to bags to cardigans, but don’t expect the 42 pages of tops you’d find at Nordstrom. Personally I prefer this, as we have WAY too many options these days. Ever heard of decision fatigue? (That’s for another day). Anyway, their selection is much smaller, and airs more on the side of classic while still being stylish. A few things I’m scoping on their site? This graphic tee, the Minelia black denim jacket…and of course – denim coveralls 🙂
I cannot speak to them personally, but Paige has 2 of their leather bags, has been using one consistently for years, and recently highlighted how well their leather conditioner works (here’s her Instagram highlight for the brand). Also, Kate, from What Kate Finds (she’s Grand Rapids local) has a highlight review of ABLE bags as well!
I can easily see ABLE becoming one of my go-to brands, and I’m not mad about it at all haha. If you’re a fan, I’d love to know what pieces you currently own. And if not, I hope you give them a follow and check out their site the next time you need something!
Thanks for stopping by today.
xo, Maddy
As for the rest of my outfit, I’m wearing the Montpellier Dress from last year’s collab with Aritzia, the best fleece lined tights from Loft, and an H&M faux leather jacket I thrifted from Rock Paper Scissors.
