Be bold. One of my favorite phrases. It’s engraved on a ring I wear and I’ve debated tattooing it on myself for a while now. A motto I want to live my life by.
But, that’s such a broad statement, what does it even mean?
For me…it’s going for it. Not letting the fear of failure or rejection hold me back, but being my authentic self, and being comfortable with who I am. And am not.
It’s being comfortable with building the life that’s best for me, not necessarily the life that I’m “supposed” to build. It’s being grateful for what I have while simultaneously working toward what I want. It’s pitching myself and knowing that there will be a lot of “no’s” for every “yes.” Understanding that not everyone will like or “get” me. Going after those big, scary goals.
I think that “being bold” can and should look different for everyone. What I consider bold may not be bold for you, and vice versa.
It can be anything from wearing a bright color you’ve never worn before, to asking for that raise, telling someone how you really feel or moving to a new city and putting yourself out there.
I don’t think living boldly means that every day is a grand adventure, but rather your small daily decisions contribute to a life true to yourself.
All of this to say – I challenge you to find your own bold. To explore what that means for you and your life.
Let’s have a great start to the week!

PS. sometimes, living boldly can be mean feeling really awkward taking blog photos for the first time in MONTHS but doing it anyway haha.
