Finally jumping on the reels train? Or trying to. Over the last few months with the new job, puppy life with Arlo and half Ironman training I gave myself a little “free pass” to put Instagram, content creation and my blog on the back burner.
But, now that the race is over (we raced June 20th – more on that coming Thursday) I can channel my time and energy into some personal endeavors that I want to work on.
I loved the trend of pairing this audio with different looks on IG, so I decided to do my own, with a rainbow of dresses. You can watch the video here, but today I wanted to share all the dresses I wore and similar links if possible.
They’re a mixture of newer and older, so I did my best to find something close if the original dress was no longer available.
I love bright colors year round, but find myself wanting to wear them all spring and summer. For me it’s easy to have a mixture of bold dresses that I can easily style different ways for travel, dinner, work, weddings or everyday.
Read on for links, photos + notes!
This bold reddish/orange dress is a recent addition to my closet. I have a few weddings this year and next and wanted to add a simple dress to my rotation that could easily be styled for multiple events!
I love the color and simple yet flattering cut of this French Connection dress.
A tip for you – Nordstrom Rack has TONS of French connection dresses for around 60% off – highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the market for a dress like this.
The orange midi over shared multiple times on Instagram and here, but it was a complete impulse purchase from Target. I absolutely love the color, the midi length, and back cut out. It’s a linen blend so it requires some steaming, but it’s lightweight and fun to wear. This orange midi from Target is also cute! As well as this one 🙂
The lime green rib knit dress is a recent find from Zara and it’s truly great. It’s also under $36 so you can’t beat that. The length is appropriate, the color is wonderful for summer, and I appreciate the rib knit, the side slit and of course, the versatility of it. (in terms of sizing I’m wearing a medium).
This fun two tone green dress was a limited edition designer Target collab, so I have no link to share. That being said, Grand Rapids friends I did see a rack of the designer collaboration dresses at the 28th St location still! As a shock to no one, I adore this color combination.
A tried and true favorite, this stretchy denim dress from H&M gets worn year round. In the fall/winter I love to layer a turtleneck and add hiker boots and in the spring/summer it’s perfect with sneakers and sandals. Here’s another denim dress from H&M!
The ruffled pink number is old from Zara, and again it’s simply easy to wear. Here’s a linen blend tank dress in that same color. And here’s a sort of similar one!
Plenty of volume in this white tiered ruffled dress that’s a few years old from Lulu’s. Here’s a very similar version with a sleeve that’s currently on sale 🙂
Last but not least, this black linen blend sundress was part of the Billabong x Sincerely Jules collaboration last year. It’s easy to wear, is a great length, and doesn’t require a weird bra…which makes it a go-to for the summer.
I know a lot of these dresses are older, but ideally they inspire you to find something similar you love. Which are your favorites??
Thanks for stopping by today!
xo, Maddy
