a fashion related post on the blog? who is she?
It’s me, and I’m back to specifically tell you about one of my favorite pairs of shoes. Well two favorite, since I added another pair.
And yes I did write about these loafers last fall and DOUBLE YES I still stand by them. And have added another pair to my collection…in leopard…shocking.
But here’s what makes the Lorraine Loafers so amazing – they require no break in time. I am VERY prone to getting blisters, which is why I generally avoid flats and end up in mules, boots or sneakers, but these? NOTHING. I have walked miles in Chicago, miles in Grand Rapids with my mom + Arlo at ArtPrize and absolutely nothing. No rubbing or blisters.
Now, I want to note that I have very narrow feet. So if you’re something with a wider foot, I would not listen to my shoe advice, I’m probably not your best gal. But if you’re a narrow footed person who struggles to buy sandals because they all slide off – then I’m your gal for shoe recs 🙂
The loafers are by Sam Edelman, and I have been very happy with every pair of shoes I’ve purchased from the brand. Over the years I have owned Sam Edelman sandals, boots, sneakers, heels and the two pairs of loafers. The price point is middle of the road (usually around $100 for a sneaker) but the quality is absolutely there. The footwear is cushioned, and there’s small little details I adore. For example, the inside of these loafers is a green floral print on the sides.
I generally get my Sam Edelman footwear from either Shopbop or Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack. Happy to report that Shopbop is currently running a promotion through Thursday – use the code STYLE to save:
15% off orders of $200+ OR 20% off orders of $500+ OR 25% off orders of $800+
So if you’re interested in some loafers for fall – this is a great chance to check them out. Oh and while you’re there – my MOST worn, MOST favorite pair of jeans is included in the sale – find them here!
Do they look good with ripped jeans and denim shorts? Yep! (at least I think so!)
But can you also pair them with skirts, dresses and trousers? Absolutely.
Below are 4 different ways I’ve styled my loafers since last fall:
Would love to know if you’re also a loafer fan? I hope so. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today.

[…] My second recent addition is also from the brand Edwin (a sustainable Japanese brand) and are the Kali Ankle jean. I love the simple medium wash without distressing for this pair. I did also chop the hem on these, but only about 1.5 inches. I sized up one size in this pair and had the waist taken in, just like I did for my other Edwin pair. Here they are in action below on the right! In both photos I am wearing the Sam Edelman Loraine loafer (also from Shopbop) and these are amazing. So amazing I wrote an entire blog post on them here.
