My last blog post published was in November 2021 and here we are, mid-March 2022. 5+ months later and plenty of life to catch up on. SO much has changed for me over the past 2 years and subsequently I have blogged the LEAST over the past 2 years. I felt like I was forcing myself into it for a while so I simply took a step back – there are/were plenty of other places to give my attention to 😉
Anyway, we’re going to bring her back to life. I want to give you an update of what’s new in my world since I last shared here as well as set expectations for what’s to come…because things are changing.
My last actual life update on the blog was almost a year ago (read it here) and since then a lot has happened.
Shop my DENIM // SWEATER // SNEAKS
As many of your know I raced a Half Ironman in June 2021 (full story here). July, August and September were full and busy and wonderful because summer = the best.
In October 2021 I finally shared my dream with the world, launching my life & success coaching business, and started taking paying clients in November.
October and November were full of travel, birthdays, visiting friends and holidays. Then, in December 2021 I left my full time role for a myriad of reasons, but mainly my values did not align with the company’s and it was no longer a positive place for me to be.
For the past 3 months I’ve been self employed and have fully embraced the freedom I have. It absolutely presents it’s own challenges, but I’ve used this time to spend quality time with people I love, get clear on HOW I want to build my business and getting back into shape! The latter half of 2021 was the most inconsistent I’ve been with fitness and by late December I was feeling it. So we adjust, and tackle a new season.

I will be going back to work full time, while building my business slowly on the side (until it’s time to full on leap).
Based on feedback from Instagram, my goal is to consistently publish both a coaching/helpful reminders blog + fashion/lifestyle blog per week.
Maddy’s Monthly Recap – a more personal and long form note with info that won’t be shared elsewhere, will go out at the end of March, and will be a monthly email moving forward. Sign up for it here!
I will (hopefully) be sharing more free content in a new format come May 2022, but I’m still getting those details hammered out.
I AM still taking style clients – must be the change of season but I have had 5 people reach out about it in the past 2 weeks. Yes, my friends, still here and still excited to help you!
I plan to keep working with some of my favorite brands – FRE Skin Care, Built Bar and Athleta.
I am looking forward to all that 2022 will bring (the highs and lows). It’s been a few years of doing A LOT of challenging, uncomfortable but NECESSARY internal work and I’m proud of the woman I am and the woman I’ll become.
I am SO DAMN happy we are moving out of the winter and into the seasons with warmth and sunshine. I am participating in the 1000 Hours Outside challenge this year, and while I have gotten outside all winter, it’s much more enjoyable in the spring, summer and fall.
I’m going to be a reasonable lady this year and NOT try to do another Half Ironman (we have multiple destination weddings and bachelorettes) but I am starting a 10 week training plan next Monday for an olympic distance race over Memorial Day Weekend.
I have some big travel goals and plans for the latter half of this year so my focus is working to make those happen.
This is the year I turn the big 3-0…and truthfully, I’m excited for my 30’s.
It blows my mind that I’ve been sharing things on this blog since 2013…but am grateful for your support, no matter how long you’ve been here. Cheers to what’s to come.
